There are more Buteras!

Dear Family and Friends,

Please help us welcome our boys, Samuel Ethan and Max Emerson to our family! They were born yesterday, 01/06/2009, and Mom and the twins are doing well: Sam was born at 10:21 am, weighing in at 6 lbs, 1 oz, and 19 inches. Max joined us at 10:22 am, and weighed in at 6 lbs, 12 oz, and 19 3/4 inches. Below is a picture (Max is on the left/Sam on right).

For those of you who may not know, Sam was diagnosed fairly early during the pregnancy with a congenital heart defect that will need surgery to correct. We’re very optimistic that the surgery will give Sam a normal life as it has a very high success rate and the surgeon doing it is rated as one of (if not the) best in the country. Please keep us in your prayers in the next few day and we’ll keep everyone posted on our progress.

Under the circumstances, we’ll let you know when we’re ready for visits for those of you who live near by.
