Still Moving Ahead
Sam’s first full day in step-down had its ups and downs. The good news is that he’s gone from the NJ tube back to the NG tube and is doing well with it. The problem is that he still has a little reflux, and that’s giving him problems with his breathing.
[singlepic id=64 w=320 h=240 float=right] Overall, he’s still doing great. The respiratory therapist is working with Sam to break up the congestion he is experiencing and that’s working well. Laura spent last night with him and as much of the day as she could. I’m really looking forward to seeing him tomorrow. Having to work, I really miss being able to see him. What’s worse is that Max spent the day with his Mimi M. today, so I was missing both of my boys. Max was just up the street, though, so it was easy to get a Max fix, and to get a Sam fix, Laura and I did a Skype call with her laptop camera. Sam and I were able to see and hear each other for a few minutes… I love technology. Laura will be spending the night with Sam again tonight.
Anyway, that’s all for now. After my visit tomorrow, I’m sure I’ll have more updates. Until then…
